Job Description
1. Provides direct services to an assigned caseload.
a) Interacts with consumers in accordance with treatment plan/program.
b) Conducts groups and individual work with clients and family support in accordance with program plans.
c) Identifies and responds appropriately and in a timely manner to client needs and
requests.
d) Conducts home visits as needed.
e) Obtains and effectively utilizes appropriate resources necessary to carry out program plans.
2. Monitors, supervises and trains consumers in daily independent living skills.
a) Help consumers develop coping skills.
b) Help develop communication skills.
c) Help consumers develop social skills and assist with social interaction.
d) Assist in developing problems solving skills.
e) Teach self help skills
3. Assist consumers in developing a Personal Recovery Plan.
a) Share personal experience.
b) Assist in developing goals.
c) Assist in obtaining their goals.
d) Assist consumers in monitoring progress to achieving goals.
4. Maintain consumer files and related paperwork of acceptable quality in a timely manner.
a) Completes progress notes as required
b) Submits Basic Living Skills documentation if required.
c) Completes general correspondence and other file entries as needed.
5. Attends and actively participates in all required meetings.
a) Participates in the assessment of client needs and development of program plans.
b) Attends In-Service training and workshops as scheduled.
c) Participates in quality assurance and completes recommendations for follow through in the specified time period.
d) Utilizes supervision/consultation as indicated.
e) Drives a Center vehicle and maintains training / safety protocols as needed.
f) Performs other related duties as necessary.
Prerequisites
Requires a high school diploma and a valid AL driver's license.
The applicant must have lived experience with their child receiving mental health services so they can help other parents going through the same process.
This is a part time position.
