Treatment gives you the chance to work with service professionals to solve problems. During your first session, staff may ask many questions about the problems you are having now and have had in the past. This information-gathering process is important because it helps us assess your problem correctly and understand how it may have developed. Services are scheduled as your needs dictate.
The staff will help you set goals for services. Achieving your goals may involve our talking with you individually, or with you and other family members. It may also involve talking with you in a group. You will be an important part of solving your problem. Since you may have spent years handling your problems in a particular way, you should not expect immediate results: it takes time to understand problems and to change thoughts, feelings and behavior. While we can't tell the exact length of time you will need to stay in treatment, we will do everything we can to help you set and meet your goals as quickly as possible.
